iWOPI is the ideal complement if you have already organized a race. You can geographically relocate your race, make it last longer and increase the number of participants, so the sponsors will have a stronger impact. The project is not limited to the day of the event, or where it physically takes place. Also, iWOPI has a new formula to use the miles that users already run by synchronizing the race with a non profit cause. It is also an extra motivation to join the event and run those miles which will turn into an incentive to compete.
iWOPI can be the platform that tracks the total amount of miles on the race, whether it is a popular race, a non profit race, family race, corporate… on foot or by bike, in any place, no matter how long it is an it is not as important to finish it. You don’t need to make any inclusion with the time recording platform.
The miles donation will be individual, so there will not be an extra effort for the company, brand or entity, there is the option to create a collective funding for a project that will be chosen by all the organizations.
iWOPI’s vision is that races are a means of communicating and spreading the cause, and also a space to complete a challenge in a certain time. Causes have actually the same model of a cause from a company already collaborating with an NGO.
In case one of the companies supporting the cause would like to sponsor the race, NGO and company will be already defined, but we will follow another procedure, because we will compile the miles in a single event, either they delimit the previous and subsequent time to the race or not.
We have so many ideas for you, so the best option is to talk in person, and if possible, joined by the race sponsors. Contact us at and we will talk about it.
Yes, and It’s free!
If you are an NGO with companies or brands already sponsoring your projects you all can publish your project to spread it with the help of people from all around the world that will help you achieve your challenge, always through the physical activity.
We will help you to create and spread your cause, and you will get your community to support your project through the sport.
Yes, you can participate on any non profit and social cause on iWOPI.
Once the cause hass concluded and after the company or brand makes the stipulated donation, we will ask you for graphic material to illustrate the execution of the project or the delivery of the donation to the beneficiaries. This will reinforce your reputation, as well as the company’s one, being iWOPI a mediator of the process.
iWOPI’s target is to incentivize the funding and participation on social projects.
The company or brand will decide which amount of money will donate. iWOPI will help to define, as a provided service, the estimated conversion from money to miles to run, depending on the time it takes to get them and considering the growth possibilities of the community. In any case, the amounts, on general, are the company’s decision, even though some times they come fixed by the project that needs a specific amount.
Normally the deadline to get the required miles will be extended so that the challenge can be completed, and it won’t affect to the donation or the stipulated amount of funding for the project. iWOPI is a new channel and a means of communication to spread and help to accomplish challenges while practicing sport and physically activating the community, we will never prevent or block a donation or a funding.
iWOPI have an alarm system that informs us when the challenge has been completed, whether you obtained all the miles or the deadline has expired. This will conclude the cause and keeps people from donating any more miles to it. The miles that overpass the limit will not increase the final amount and will not force the enterprise or NGO to modify the budget. There will be a percentage over 100% on the cause’s chart if the miles overpass the initial amount.
Yes, and it is a common practice among the sports events or on causes that need help and involving from more than one company. There is a multi company or multi brand type of cause on iWOPI, they are both are possible.
In a promoted cause such as an emergency situation already receiving support from different companies it will be possible to create a cause or challenge financed or sponsored by a group or companies, or an individual challenge for each of the companies.
The basic use of the platform is FREE to NGOs, entities and organizations legally registered.
The entity will be required to facilitate the entire project’s information, including the economic agreement with the enterprise or brand sponsoring the project. iWOPI will launch the project and will communicate about it on groups, social networks, blogs and websites of the organization and the sponsoring company or brand.
There are other paying options for NGOs with functions that allow contact and communication with the participating users on the challenge, helping you to be on top and giving you a wider spreading and communication.
For more information contact us from the Contact section or sending us an email to
It depends on the option you have contracted; iWOPI has different contact options with the participants on the cause through the platform. In the Freemium option (no cost) there is no option of direct communication between users other than the spreading of the challenge while the project goes on.
On the paying options we offer different means of contact with the participating community on the challenge. iWOPI will not provide any personal data from the users on any case.
We recommend you to contact us with no commitment to tell us about your goals and the details of your project, and we will inform you about the different types of contracting and the costs and benefits of each one.
No, iWOPI will not provide with personal data from users on any case. On some paying options we offer you some tools to contact the participating users on the challenge, but this option is limited to each project.
You can publish any of the data that we provide you with, because they are general statistics data which do not contain any private information or personal data.
Yes, when a cause is completed iWOPI will send you the general statistics information of the results, which can be used without limitation by the company and the organization or NGO to communicate and spread their projects.
We will gladly help you on that!
Yes, you can publish it on your usual channels, social networks, etc. iWOPI will provide you with URL links that you will be able to use to communicate about the project and spread it. The organization will do the same and iWOPI will also communicate about the cause on all its channels. The cause will remain on iWOPI’s history of causes.
The only limitation is set on the private causes, which will not be publicly or externally communicated due to its nature.
Of course, what actually defines a cause on iWOPI is a company or a brand sponsoring or making a donation to an organization, society or NGOs’ social project.
Once the cause has been launched, all sort of communication include the sponsoring brand and the promoter organization of the cause that will receive the donation or funding previously settled.
No, according to the LOPD (Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos, in English “Organic Law of Data Protection”) iWOPI is not allowed to deliver or provide any personal data of the platform users.
Some of the paying options of the platform include the communication with the users, always through the same platform but not individually.
Depending on the contracted mode, iWOPI will provide with statistics of each cause’s activity once it is completed.
iWOPI does not provide to companies or organizations personal data from the community users.
Some of the paying options of the platform include the communication with the users, always through the same platform but not individually.
Ask about the details of each option contacting us at , we will contact you back immediately.
The communication ways with the users who donate miles will depend on the model you have contracted.
The FREE option does not allow any kind of communication with the users.
The group options allow communication between users on iWOPI’s platform, but not personal.
The personal data of the members of the community will not be provided to any company, brand or organization in any case.
You can ask about the different payment options and their characteristics at .
Of course, we’ll be glad if you decide so!
In such case, iWOPI will advise you on the best way to offer an extra motivation to the community. We usually use the “stages” structure to create a new challenge that will follow the previous one.
Don’t hesitate on asking us at about any idea you com up to, iWOPI is very flexible!
If the miles number overcomes the initial target, companies or brands are not required to increase the amount of money they agreed to donate to the project on any case, unless the conditions of the cause specify it this way. This would be the case of causes where the total amount of the donation is not set up from the beginning and the company or the brand sponsoring it is willing to pay the amount corresponding to all the miles the community can run in that time.
Normally causes have an alarm that informs iWOPI the challenge has been accomplished, which automatically clauses the completed cause. Any amount donated after the challenge is achieved will be added to the result, and the number will be more than a 100%. However, the amount of the donation will not increase if it was agreed from the beginning.
The most common case is to extend the deadline to donate miles; we reinforce it with a stronger broadcasting of the challenge to the community, whether it is private or public.
Anyhow, iWOPI is a live evolving project, so there are many factors affecting how fast a challenge will be accomplished: how motivated the community is, how attractive the project is, the company attitude on the broadcasting of the cause, previous history of the company on CSR, etc.
Yes, this is the most common case and what iWOPI actually recommends: specify the amount of the donation or project funding you will be making, in terms with the beneficiary entity or ONG.
Our experience allows us to help you define the possible challenges depending on the amount of the donation, like setting the causes or challenges’ length, or the miles a challenge needs depending on the size of the community.
Corporate causes can only be accessed by the codes that the company provides. The URL links of the causes are not accessible for users that do not belong to the company.
iWOPI can also manage the verification of the registration emails list with the employees address list, but only in case the registration with an email address on the company is mandatory and the use of a personal address to log in on the platform is explicitly forbidden.
You can only donate miles for a cause through an existent App connected to iWOPI’s platform. These Apps register different race factors and criteria, which stops users from faking the results in almost all of the cases.
Anyway, we all know that preventing the misuses of task can sometimes be complicated.
iWOPI works every day to improve the platform and prevent fraudulent users. The system is prepared to detect fake activities that pretend adding a bigger number of miles. iWOPI reserves the right to delete and banish users from the platform if they fake their contribution on purpose, and also the miles they have donated misusing the platform.
For private corporate causes iWOPI will register a cause and provide with the access codes for the company to distribute among the staff.
Employees will need to register on the platform only one time and access to the cause with their code.
If in the future employees that are already registered would like to contribute to other active causes on iWOPI, even if they are not corporate, there will be no further action needed from them.
Yes, this is one of the new contract options for companies.
From iWOPI we will manage the registration of the corporate cause, and will help you setting the time and expected miles your users will have to achieve, depending on how much staff is involved, and will also develop an invitation code system for private access.
We can register one time causes, for instance a race day for employees, limited causes on time, such as specific amount of miles in a few days, or consider a wider time range with different challenges during the year, like a more extensive CSR plan for employees based on health and sports.
In such case iWOPI can suggest you global CSR plans that include motivational speeches, training, health and nutrition schedules, activities with elite sportspeople, monitoring devices for the staff, activities, giveaways, etc.
Tell us what you have on mind and we will design a specific plan for your company ()
Ask about the prices of this model depending on the size of the project.
Of course, iWOPI can become your online platform to manage and start new causes and challenges, send invitations and allow access to your staff on private causes, and also the place where your employees can personally donate their miles.
Also, iWOPI offers new benefits and functions for companies. It allows decentralizing events from a certain place, therefore making possible for companies with local offices abroad and staff working on different places to involve them on the same activity for the same cause, wherever it has place
We think it is not up to iWOPI to decide which donations need to be going to each project. Normally, companies know the projects they can support and better fit on their principles and policy.
iWOPI will shortly offer the option of adding projects looking for funding, with the purpose of finding “matching” companies looking for projects to support and don’t know where to find them.
Yes, the company or brand can either make an economic or in kind donation, such as food, utilities, etc. which is the most common on emergency cases. In case the company makes a non economic donation we will request the economic value of such donation to convert it to miles correctly.
The number of causes you can register is unlimited for companies. Whether it is because the company donates money to different causes or projects, or because peoples’ interests are very different, it is possible to register as many causes as needed so that people can choose the option they feel more identified with. Causes can be limited or not depending on the model each company has contracted on iWOPI.
We are automating the system so that the Freemium companies can publish their causes directly. If you contracted another model you will have to contact us at .
iWOPI is a tool that has many uses for companies. You can involve the HR department (personal growth, Branding Employer), inner or external communication, CSR and Marketing.
Most users use iWOPI to improve the company or brand public perception trough social activities, such as promoting sport and healthier lifestyles.
iWOPI is to companies a broadcasting tool and a supportive link with society that reinforces the brand values and its general perception. When causes are visible for a long period of time and there is a broadcasting action on the social networks, there will be a bigger impact and a closer bond with people, which allows an open participation from any part of the world.
It depends on the model you have contracted and the kind of cause you register, corporate or open. We have different means of payment so we can offer you the one that adapts best to your needs and targets as a company. Contact us at to talk about it.
You can contract different models; you have the Freemium option, which allows you to publish your cause or challenge, even though it has limited time and miles.
There are also different paying models that give you the option of stimulating your projects with more functions, like posting videos, banners and being in touch with your community. The cost depends on the option you choose, the time you stay on the platform and the number of causes the company would like to have on iWOPI. We also have a corporate and private model available for companies that want to mobilize their own staff.
Contact us at and tell us about your idea, we will offer you all our experience from previous brands and organizations and advise you on the option that suits you best.
Yes, each cause has its own donated miles ranking. There is also a global ranking, and shortly we will add new rankings so you can personalize your experience on the platform depending on your profile.
We currently have the following rankings with your position on them as a user:
Global ranking (last 30 days)
Ranking by cause
Ranging of people you follow
We plan on adding more rankings following new criteria very soon. We invite you to follow us on our social networks and our newsletter, where we will keep you informed about the new options we incorporate to the platform.
We have established a deadline of one year after you register your miles on your personal iWOPI’s account until you donate them. If your miles haven’t been donated after this time they will be automatically deleted. iWOPI’s intention is that you donate the effort you make while a cause is still active when you run those miles. This is why it doesn’t have much sense to donate miles from months ago to a cause that has just been launched. We believe it is much more motivating to sum up and give your miles for a challenge that will receive your effort straight away.
It would be ideal for you to upload your miles on iWOPI every time you do an activity. This way you would make sure you have add them all. We advise you not to let more than a week go by after you have tracked your miles, because Apps, devices, and iWOPI’s system have a limitation on the time to upload miles. It is designed so that people cannot add miles from months ago, because it would not have too much sense.
Once you have registered your miles on our platform, you will have a long term to donate them to the cause you choose.
No, each cause can have a different conversion rate. This conversion may vary, such as the currency rate, and it depends on many factors, as the amount of the donation, the time it will stay on iWOPI, the size of the community, etc.
On the description of each cause you will see the format and conditions of the donation.
The conversion of miles into an economic donation is negotiated between the organization and the company before the cause is launched. Normally the conditions to achieve the donation are presented as a “challenge” which consists on running a specific number of miles in a certain time frame.
iWOPI does not interfere in such agreement, except if it is to consult and look out for the compliance of the rules between the parties.
To track your miles you will need a device such as a polar bracelet, a GPS, a fitness bracelet, or also a Smartphone with a compatible App with iWOPI’s platform.
Yes, iWOPI is an international project, so you can donate your miles to any active cause you choose, regardless of the project’s origin or the place it will take place. The site and the platform will soon offer different languages, and on the future we plan on developing the platform for different countries.
You can subscribe to any of the active causes. If you click on the list of causes’ button or on the chart of each project, you will have the option of donating your miles straight away. We work every day for you to have many causes to choose among, and pick the one that motivates you the most.
With iWOPI you will give a new sense to the reasons you practice sport or make physical activity, and you will add value to the miles you run, because every mile you donate will contribute to a social cause and help accomplish the target project.
We want to set the world in motion and help to change it with the help of your effort. Once you try it you won’t be able to stop…
Through any social network you normally use, sharing your activities with your friends and followers, as well as your challenges and accomplishments. You will be able to create your own friends group and together you will have the option of joining some challenges or follow other interesting people. These are the kind of things that help spreading iWOPI’s movement.
Use the hashtags created for each cause, share our posts, retweet us, like us on Facebook, and share the posts within your friends group, colleagues, or followers…
We have set some functions up that allow you to spread the causes on Facebook, Twitter, or share your contribution every time you donate miles.
Broadcasting is very important to us, so we really thank you for showing interest!
Each cause has a descriptive text about the project and a challenge from where the company and the organization that suggested the social cause will inform when the cause goal has been accomplished, and will also have a space for pictures, videos, testimonies, etc. The organization and the company supporting the cause are responsible to inform about it. They will also be able to broadcast the projects through the social networks and iWOPI will actively help spreading the accomplished causes through its own social networks. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Youtube and on our newsletter to be informed about everything that is going on in iWOPI’s world.
Projects are always sponsored by companies or brands. The amount, the way and the conditions of the donation are negotiated between the NGO and the company, and are clearly specified on each cause chart. iWOPI does not interfere on the process but it does advise and consult about the best deal depending on the targets of each cause.
Once the enterprise has decided to register a cause or challenge on iWOPI, they will need to contact us at to contract the service. We will advise on the different options and prices of iWOPI.
Causes on iWOPI come from companies and brands with the target of funding social projects as part of their activity as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). These causes can be public and accessible to the whole iWOPI community; also allowing broadcasting on the social networks; or they can be private causes where only their employees can access with an invitation and a code.
On the other side, they can come from entities, foundations or organizations that offer their projects and provide the company which will finance it through a challenge suggested by our platform.
There is also a kind of cause, promoted by groups or individuals, with the support of an NGO, foundation, etc, with a very specific target, but always wanting to benefit the maximum amount of people and having the biggest social impact as possible. These causes are launched without an initial sponsoring company that could possibly donate or finance the project, and they are a broadcasting tool to attract companies who would like to sponsor the cause.
Yes, you will be able to follow other members’ activity on your profile wall. This and other new functions are now among the communication tools between users inside the platform. To keep updated on any new abut our functions, we suggest you to follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Google+, where we are on constant communication with you users and inform you about everything that goes around the iWOPI universe on a regular basis.
No, miles are personal and non transferrable.
We can help you to introduce our platform to your company. Normally the most interested departments of a company about iWOPI are the HR department (Branding Employer), the CSR, People development, Corporate Marketing, Internal Communication or even the Senior Management. iWOPI is usually used for the development of CSR activities or to incentivize the staff by promoting the physical activity, an active life and healthier habits. Contact us at or fill up the form on our site to ask for more information.
iWOPI is a platform with the goal of using sport for mental, social and physic self-fulfillment, and this is the best incentive we can give to users. The prize for participating is making the projects come true thanks to the causes from different organizations and to the companies that sponsor them.
However, we do not throw the idea away of adding other incentives in the future. We will keep you informed about it on our newsletter and our social networks as we add them.
Yes, you can run for any public cause as long as it is open and the “donate miles” button shows up. Our goal is to add enough causes for the users to choose the type of cause they wish to collaborate with, and also enough companies, brands or organizations for the users to choose the one they feel more affinity with.
Challenges or stages are designed so that they can be accomplished in time as planned, taking into consideration the size of the community and the number of active causes at each moment. On every case the brand or the company sponsoring the cause commits to make a proportional donation or else to extend the deadline so users can accomplish it.
Yes, causes cannot be unlimited and they are presented as a challenge with a deadline to get a certain number of miles.
There is no problem about it; however, if you have accumulated miles and your account is inactive for one year, we will proceed to delete your miles, even though your account will still be active.
Our philosophy is based on the constant action, so we really value the active users that provide recent miles.
To us that means you are an active and socially committed person!
No, once you upload them on iWOPI, your miles won’t ever expire, and you can donate them at any moment to a cause of your choice.
The App designers restrict the age of the miles that can be transferred on a third part App through their APIs up to 15 days. When uploading your miles to iWOPI from your App, only the miles from the last 15 days will be taken into account and you won’t be able to get the old miles back.
This is a limitation that the App developers set, iWOPI cannot interfere or modify.
Of course, you can keep your miles on iWOPI and save them to donate them all at once. The only condition is that you won’t be able spread them out among different causes, you will have to make a single donation.
You can do it whenever you want, but it is important that you don’t let too many days go by before you upload them on the platform, because we take into consideration how old are the miles you have run but not uploaded.
You can donate the miles you sum up at the end of each session to different causes or save them for the same cause to donate them all at once. Each cause has its own ranking, so if you are the competitive kind, this could be an incentive to be on top of the ranking. Brands and enterprises really take into consideration the most active users of their sponsored causes, and sometimes they even reward their activity.
We have recently incorporated the iWOPI’s App, available on the two most popular cell phone platforms.
The App does not pretend to replace the miles or activity tracking, but to focus on the own functions of our platform. Therefore you will still need an App that registers your activities. We are still working on linking iWOPI to the most popular activity tracker Apps.
From iWOPI’s App you will be able to update your miles and donate them to a cause of your choice.
You can download and install iWOPI’s App on Android and iOS (iPhone and iPad):
Each App will cover different needs, from amateur activity to professional, on different kinds of sports. Use the App that will better adapt to your needs, whether it is a free or paying App.
We do recommend you to use an App compatible with iWOPI’s APIs and connectors that, such as Runkeeper, Strava, MapMyFitness (Nike+), DailyMile, Runtastic, Fitbit or Google Fit
Platforms with more available Apps to buy are Google Play (Android) and App Store (iOS). You can also find compatible Apps on the Windows phone platform.
iWOPI works hard to keep adding the maximum number of Apps and devices to the platform, so that any user can track and upload miles without any problem in a very simple way.
iWOPI is compatible with the main device brands because we have developed the necessary API connectors to work with labels such as Garmin, Polar, Suunto, Nike+, Fitbit, etc.
Our purpose is to keep adding brands and Apps until users can donate miles from any device on the market.
To track your activity and donate your miles, you will need a devise, such as a GPS watch, an activity tracker or wearable, or you can also use an App for your Smartphone.
If you have a watch or an activity tracker, you will need to connect it to your PC to download your activity and upload it to iWOPI’s platform.
If you are using a Smartphone, you will need to upload your activity with some of the compatible Apps with iWOPI: Runkeeper, Strava, DailyMile, MapMyFitness, Runtastic, Fitbit or Google Fit.
In case you use a native App on your device, like Garmin, Polar, Nike+, etc, you will need to connect such App to some of iWOPI’s compatible multibrand Apps.
We recommend you to check our “Connection guide” out to clear up any question; you will find it very easy!
If you have any connection trouble, please contact us at for support.
The privacy of the iWOPI’s users’ personal data is regulated by the Spanish law LOPD (Ley Orgánica de Protección de Datos, in English “Organic Law of Data Protection”) as you can check in the following link to our site.
